The First China-Russia Bilateral Workshop on Advanced Materials held in MSU

The First China-Russia Bilateral Workshop on Advanced Materials was held in Moscow State University from May 23rdto 24th. The work shop was fully supported and well organized by Prof. Sergey M. Aldoshin, Full Member of Russian Academy of Sciences and Vice-President of RAS and Prof. Valery V. Lunin, Full member of RAS and Dean of Faculty of Chemistry of MUS. A delegation of more than ten researchers headed by Prof. Huang Wei, Academician of CAS and NanjingTech President attended the workshop exchanging ideas with their Russian counterparts and exploring the latest breakthrough and development in the research of advanced materials. This workshop strengthened the tangible cooperation between two universities in research collaboration, talent cultivation and technology transfer.

Moscow State University is the largest and comprehensive university in Russia. As an innovative and entrepreneurial university with history and tradition, MSU is known for its top-notch faculty, advanced equipment, first-class education and high-level research. MSU is not only a research university and center of academics in Russia but also one of the most famous universities in the world. MSU has produced 13 Nobel Laureates and a large quantity of world-renowned scientists.

In the two-day workshop, more than twenty researchers from Moscow State University, Russian Academy of Sciences and Nanjing Tech University presented their research in inorganic materials, nano-materials, bioinstrumentation, advanced energy and catalytic chemistry and held in-depth discussions on technology transfer.
